Thank you for the opportunity to share my story...I started cups in 2019 to help with medical expenses for my granddaughter Lola. She was diagnosed with SMA Type I. We were advised she would not see her first birthday and she has beat the odds and is now 5 years old and thriving the best she can. She was given a new approved drug for SMA called Spinraza and the injections were 170,000.00 every 45 days. She is now on a by mouth dose daily. And her Mom has beat the odds with the insurance company too. But Lola needs a special needs dog and they run in the thousands.
